Join us for this awesome day in worship as the REZ Youth Orchestra and Handbells lead us toward God with their energy and enthusiasm.
How are we doing?
As your pastor, it's the question that is always on my mind. So, let me know!! Whether you love one of our changes or have a concern, please know my door is always open.
My family and I are so appreciative to you all for making us so welcome here. But, I know change is hard. So, keep me in the loop and let me know how I can serve you better. As your pastor, I want you to know I am always open to your thoughts, ideas, compliments, concerns, suggestions, etc. I grow as a pastor when you share with me. So, please know my door is always open. Just give Cindy or I a buzz or an email and set a time to chat. Or, send me a quick email sometime. But, be sure to let me know how I can serve you better.
Thanks for making me so welcome here! We have come to love Monticello and the people here so very much!!
Blessings, Pastor Rob
Plan to be With Us in Lent!!!
Here's a heads up for special worship services in Lent. Always check the church website for more if you have questions about dates/times.
Throughout Lent, we'll be sharing in a series called, "Seven Last Words from the Cross." This will be a time to experience the holiness of Jesus Christ as we focus on the last words of Jesus. Plus, we'll share in these special services...
THIS WEDNESDAY...Ash Wednesday...February 22, a blended service led by our Choir and our Praise Band. Imposition of ashes will take place as well. Join us on this holy night where you experience forgiveness and grace in a very personal way.
Holy Week Prayer Vigil--beginning April 5 at 4:00pm, we'll have a 24-hour prayer vigil. The church will be open for the entire 24 hour period prior to Jesus' death. Join us as we reflect on this holy moment. The Vigil will end with a Good Friday tenebrae service at the moment Jesus died.
Maundy Thursday--April 5, a staff-led worship service where we walk through the last hours of Jesus on the cross. Join us for this powerful service. Worship is at 7pm.
Good Friday--April 6, a tenebrae worship service where we quietly experience the final hour of Jesus' life on the cross. Worship is at 3pm, the time theologians believe Jesus died. That night, come back for a powerful Lenten Cantata by our chancel choir at 7:00pm.
Thanks to Trustees!!!
You may have noticed some awesome changes at Monticello! Our Committee on Trustees (led by Mike Wood) has worked to install a projector and sound in fellowship hall. That means you can always catch the announcements running all morning on Sundays. Plus, you can be in Fellowship Hall and actually hear worship taking place too.
In addition, Trustees have installed the computer at the "Connection Point" in Fellowship hall, installed new electricity in the kitchen to support our UMW events and other events too!! Please join me in thanking this awesome team of men and women for their hard work!!!
