Dear Friend,

With new funding from the German Government and continued support from our private and corporate donors, CNF has committed over 1.5 million euros in operating support and technical assistance to 16 parks across the South Caucasus.

We awarded new grants to 6 parks! Grants include, operational support for Dilijan National Park in Armenia, Hirkan National Park in Azerbaijan and Algeti National Park, Javakheti Protected Areas, Kazbegi National Park and Kintrishi Protected Areas in Georgia.

Our contribution supports recurring operating costs at the parks, including essentials such as infrastructure maintenance, equipment needs and salary supplements, which ensure park rangers and staff receive a living wage.

CNF’s core work remains focused on operating support for the region’s protected areas, but in 2015 we have expanded our technical assistance program, in order to ensure that each of our parks has the planning tools and capacity to improve management effectiveness and safeguard its future. Support will focus on protection, biodiversity monitoring, tourism and educational outreach.
