Speed Skating Canada is still accepting hosts for the following 2012-2013 events:

Skaters heading to short track Canadians

CansLogosOn February 29th we announced the names of skaters eligible for the Canadian Short Track  Championships and the Canada East Short Track Championships.

Ontario Performs Well at long track Canadians

We posted a recap of Team Ontario's performance at the Canadian Long Track Championships that were held February 11 & 12 in Fort St. John.  Ontario.   Ontario was presented with the Most Improved Province award.  Congratulations to the skaters and Team Coach Kristi Copeland who accepted the award on our behalf!

Ontario Winter Games Fast Approaching

The Ontario Games are being held March 8th-11th and the speed skating competition will be held in Barrie on the 9th & 10th.  For more information about the event please visit our Ontario Games Page.


Sarah Leslie settles in as Manager, Sport Programs

Sarah began working out of her office in Ottawa February 13th and has lots of projects on the go already as she is working to take on the sport technical responsibilities within OSSA.  These responsibilities include things like Coaching, Officiating and Sport Development.  If you are looking to connect with Sarah you can reach her at 613-422-5210 or via email.

Information Manual and By-Law announcement

If anyone wishes to see a change in the Ontario Speed Skating Association Information Manual or the By-Laws, please use the regulations amendment form and submit it to the OSSA offices by March 25th.
