Happy New Year Everybody!
We can hardly believe that Christmas is nearly over, there are 12 days after all. Anyone else celebrate 12th night?? It's this Friday, January 6th. In Andrea's home it is a more relaxed way to gather the family for a dinner to end the season, a time to take down the tree or just play games and goof around. For Eric, in Newfoundland we celebrate Jan 6th which we call Old Christmas Day, with a great Christmas blow-out party! You know us Newfies, any excuse to gather, eat, and have fun!
So, Christmas almost aside...we have a lot in the plans for an exciting 2012; Children's Retreat (we need volunteers, please see below), Easter Vigil, Walking the Talk, May Retreat (including Young Adults this year!!!), a possible bus trip 2012, dances, and more.
We hope that your 2012 starts out well with returns to work and school (some of you we know have scored an extra week before you return to school). Know that you are beloved children of God. I have called you by name and you are mine, you are honoured and precious in my sight and I love you. - Isaiah 43
Seek justice, love kindness, walk humbly with God - Micah 6:8
Blessings, Eric and Andrea

Young Adults-Christmas Train '11
10 of us clambered aboard the Christmas Train at Stanley Park on December 15th. The weather was cold but dry and we caught the 7pm train and then went for hot chocolate and snacks at the White Spot on Georgia Street. Little Micheal survived Eric's antics as did the rest...it was a really nice start to Christmas. Thanks to all who made it!
